The Hoxie Volunteer Fire Department is a full-service department dedicated to saving lives, protecting property and serving the Hoxie Community. The Department is under the direction of Fire Chief Robbie Needham.

The department is made up of one full time paid fire chief and several volunteers. They respond to all fires, motor vehicle crashes and medical emergencies within their fire district. Our response fleet consists of a tanker-pumper, two engines, a rescue pumper and a brush truck. The department is currently a Class 5 ISO rating but effective March 1, 2020 it will be a Class 4 ISO rating.   The department has been nationally recognized as a Fire Wise Community
